    What is Hyssop oil?

Hyssop oil has been used since biblical times to treat respiratory and digestive ailments, and as an antiseptic for minor cuts, as it as has antifungal and antibacterial activity against some strains of pathogens.  It also has a calming effect, making it perfect to ease irritated bronchial passages and alleviate anxiety and decrease blood pressure.  Available as an essential oil, it is better to diffuse hyssop with lavender and chamomile for asthmatics and pneumonia symptoms, rather than the more commonly used peppermint and eucalyptus, as those can be harsh and actually worsen the symptoms.

     Hyssop Benefits

What are the health benefits of hyssop? There are many!

    1. Helps Respiratory Conditions

Hyssop is antispasmodic, meaning it relieves spasms in the respiratory system and soothes coughs. (2) It’s also an expectorant — it loosens phlegm that has been deposited in the respiratory tracts. (3) This property helps heal infections from the common cold, and it helps treat respiratory conditions, such as serving as a bronchitis natural remedy.

Coughing is a common reaction of the respiratory system trying to expel harmful microbes, dust or irritants, so hyssop’s antispasmodic and antiseptic properties make it a great natural treatment for coughs and other respiratory conditions.

Hyssop can also work as a remedy for sore throats, making it a great tool for people who use their voices throughout the day, like teachers, singers and lecturers. The best way to soothe the throat and respiratory system is to drink hyssop tea or add a few drops of oil to your throat and chest.

    2. Fights Parasites

Hyssop has the ability to fight parasites, which are organisms that feed off the nutrients of other organisms. Some examples of parasites include tapeworm, fleas, hookworms and flukes. Because it’s a vermifuge, hyssop oil expels parasitic works, especially in the intestines. (4) When a parasite lives in and feed on its host, it disrupts nutrient absorption and causes weakness and disease. If the parasite is living in the intestines, it disrupts the digestive and immune systems.

Therefore, hyssop can be a key part of a parasite cleanse, as hyssop helps many systems in the body and ensures that your needed nutrients aren’t taken by these dangerous organisms.

    3. Fights Infections

Hyssop prevents infections from developing in wounds and cuts. Because of its antiseptic properties, when it’s applied to an opening of the skin, it fights infection and kills bacteria. (5) Hyssop also helps in healing deep cuts, scars, insect bites and even can be one of the great home remedies for acne.

A study done at the Department of Virology, Hygiene Institute in Germany tested hyssop oil’s ability to fight genital herpes by testing plaque reduction. Genital herpes is a chronic, persistent infection that is spread efficiently and silently as a sexually transmitted disease. The study found that hyssop oil lowered plaque formation by more than 90 percent, proving that the oil interacted with the virus and serves as a therapeutic application for the treatment of herpes. (6)

    4. Increases Circulation

An increase in blood flow or circulation in the body benefits the heart and the body’s muscles and arteries. Hyssop improves and promotes circulation because of its anti-rheumatic properties. (7) By increasing circulation, hyssop can work as a natural remedy for gout, rheumatism, arthritis and swelling. Your heart rate lowers when your blood circulates properly, and then your heart muscles relax and your blood pressure flows evenly throughout the body, affecting every organ.

So many people are looking for natural arthritis treatments because it can be a crippling condition. Osteoarthritis, the most common type of arthritis, occurs when cartilage between joints wears down, causing inflammation and pain. By increasing circulation, hyssop oil and tea inhibit swelling and inflammation, allowing the blood to flow through the body and relieve the pressure that builds up because of clogged arteries.

Because of its ability to improve circulation, hyssop oil is also a home remedy and treatment for hemorrhoids, which are experienced by 75 percent of Americans at some point in their lives. Hemorrhoids are caused by an increase in pressure on the veins of the anus and rectum. The pressure on the veins causes swelling, pain and bleeding.

Wholesale of 100% natural organic Rosewood Essential Oil bulk supplier from India Bois De Rose oil

    What is Rosewood?

The name “Rosewood” refers to the medium-sized trees of the Amazon with dark-colored pink or brownish wood. The wood is mainly used for cabinetmakers and marquetry (a particular form of inlay work) for their unique colors.

In this article, we focus on Aniba rosaeodora, known as rosewood, which comes from the Lauraceae family. Rosewood oil is derived from the Aniba rosaeodora – a tree with golden-yellow flowers from the Amazonian rainforests of Brazil and French Guiana. The oil is obtained through a process of steam distillation used from wood shavings which has a delightful, warm, slightly spicy, woody scent.

Rosewood essential oil is very rich in linalool – a substance from the monoterpenols family – is highly sought after in the perfume industry for its characteristic odor. Over time, however, due to over-exploitation by the industry, the essential oil production from this red- barked tree has depleted the natural resources. Given this rarity, the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) has safeguarded Aniba Rosaeodora classifying the rosewood as “endangered.”

    Rosewood Oil: Benefits and uses

The precious oil is so valuable with remarkable anti-infectious properties for treating bacteria, viruses and fungi. Additionally, can be used for holistic treatments of ear infections, sinusitis, chickenpox, measles, bronchopulmonary infections, bladder infections, and many fungal infections.

Rosewood oil can be found in cosmetics to strengthen and regenerate the skin. It is, therefore, used to treat stretch marks, tired skin, wrinkles, and acne, as well as to reduce scars. Equally, this is also found to be extraordinary for treating dandruff, eczema, and hair loss.

Rosewood essential oil has been known to boost female libido by enhancing sexual desires and improving sexual performance. For men, other essential oils such as ginger or black pepper have the same effect. It can also be used for in cases of depression, stress, or fatigue. It can, of course, also be combined with other types of essential oils, such as mandarin and ylang ylang. Furthermore, it calms anxiety, offers emotional stability and empowerment.

When to avoid using Rosewood Essential Oil

Rosewood oil can be used by most because it does not have aggressive side-effects on the skin. Pregnant women should take note that this particular oil is not recommended for use as it can tone the uterus. Extra care should also be taken by anyone with a history of hormone-dependent cancer.

Rosewood essential oil has great assets: a seductive aroma, effective for medical use and is skin-tolerant. However; being a rare gift from nature, always use it in moderation!

The essential oil of camphor is obtained during the process of its extraction of camphor from two types of camphor trees. The first one is the Common Camphor tree, bearing the scientific name Cinnamomum camphora, from which the common camphor is obtained. The second variety is the Borneo Camphor tree, which is where Borneo Camphor is derived from; it is scientifically known as Dryobalanops camphora. The camphor oil obtained from both have similar properties, but they differ slightly in aroma and the concentration of various compounds found in them.

The various components of camphor essential oil are alcohol, borneol, pinene, camphene, camphor, terpene, and safrole.

Health Benefits of Camphor Essential Oil

Camphor essential oil has many medicinal properties, which are explained in greater detail below.

    May Prevent Skin Infections

Camphor oil is known to be an excellent disinfectant, insecticide, and germicide. It can be added to drinking water to disinfect it, particularly during the summer and in rainy seasons when there is a higher chance of water becoming infected. An open bottle or container of camphor oil, or burning a piece of cloth soaked in camphor oil, drives away insects and kills germs. A drop or two of camphor oil mixed with plenty of food grains also helps in keeping them safe from insects. Camphor is also used in many medical preparations such as ointments and lotions to cure skin diseases, as well as bacterial and fungal infections of the skin. When mixed with bathing water, camphor oil disinfects the whole body externally, and also kills lice. [2] [3] [4]

    May Relieve Neuralgia

Neuralgia, a painful condition caused when the ninth cranial nerve is impacted due to swelling of the surrounding blood vessels, can be relieved using camphor oil. This oil can make the blood vessels contract and thereby reduce pressure on the ninth cranial nerve. [8]

It may also relax the body and mind while giving a feeling of peace and freshness. It may prove to be very cooling and refreshing, particularly in the summer. Camphor oil can also be mixed with bathing water to have that extra sensation of coolness in the summer heat. [9]

It can also make a person lose control over their limbs if taken in excess since it impacts brain function. The smell of the oil is somewhat addictive. People have been seen to develop strong addictions to repeatedly smelling the oil or consuming it, so be careful.

Pain relief — Copaiba has high levels of β-Caryophyllene. This along with its other anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, anti-septic, and anti-oxidant properties make it a potential source of pain relief. The research in this area is promising, especially for people with chronic joint pain who want an alternative to NSAIDs.

Skin care — Copaiba’s properties also have been studied for skin conditions. Research shows that application of Copaiba essential oil could be beneficial in fighting off harmful bacteria and microorganisms that can trigger an outbreak of acne. Positive results were also noted from a study done on addressing the skin condition psoriasis.

Germ fighting — Various studies, including a study on wound healing after dental procedures, show promise when it comes to Copaiba’s antibacterial properties.

Fixative in scented products — Copaiba Balsam, with it’s soft, subtle aroma can be used as a fixative to help retain the scent in perfume blends, soaps and other personal care products. It binds to more volatile aromas to extend their shelf life.

We spoke with aromatherapy educator, Frankie Holzbach, who is 82 years young, about how she uses Copaiba Balsam. Here’s what she had to say about her experience with chronic knee pain…

I began using Copaiba Balsam in 2016 alternating it with other blends on my aching knees. Both of my knees suffer from torn cartilages which I tore back in my more active days many years ago (first one in 1956 playing volleyball and the second about 20 years later during a tennis match). After my shower every morning, I put either a tsp. of carrier oil or a 1/2 inch of an scent-free ointment in my hand. I add two drops of the Copaiba to the carrier and apply directly to my knees. When it doesn’t seem to be helping, I change it up for a day or two with other oils like Joint ReliefMuscle Soothe and Lemongrass, but Copaiba Balsam is my favorite “go-to” oil, and I wouldn’t want to be without it.

There are many other uses being researched for Copaiba Balsam essential oil. Find more information, including application methods, on our new product page.
