Chemical composition
The main chemical components of neroli essential oil are α-pinene, camphene, β-pinene, α-terpinene, nerolidol, nerolidol acetate, farnesol, acid esters and indole.
Extraction method
Neroli essential oil is made from the white waxy flowers on the bitter orange tree. It is extracted by steam distillation and the oil yield is between 0.8 and 1%.
