Introduction of Rose Hydrosol
Rose hydrosol is the by-product of essential oil production, and is created from the water that is used to steam distill plant materials. In this process the whole plant is used rather than just the rose petals. When water vapor moves through rose petals, stems, and leaves, it picks up some of the oils along the way. Once the water is cooled and becomes liquid, the condensation is called a rose hydrosol. This distilled water contains the beneficial plant minerals that are left behind, and these are the essential compounds that give rose hydrosol its fame when it comes to its numerous skin benefits.
Rose Hydrosol Effects & Benefits
As opposed to a standard rose water, rose hydrosol maintains the essence of the plant in every drop, and is the purest form of rose water. Rose Hydrosol Usage
One of the great things about hydrosols is that they don’t need to be diluted. Since they are much less concentrated than essential oils, they’re safe to use directly on the skin.
l Body Spray
You can use undiluted Rose Hydrosol for a light perfume. Its toxin-free aroma is beautiful and you’ll smell faintly of rose. Rose Hydrosol as a spray is also refreshing and uplifting.
l Lotion

Hydrosols or flower waters have different healing properties than aromatherapy spritzers. When making a hydrosol, the plants healing compounds are gathered from a steam distillation process. The smell from a hydrosol is softer than that of a plants essential oil, and they are definitely not as concentrated. They do smell equally as wonderful with their own aromatic benefits and are really easy to make. You can use a hydrosol straight as a face spray, to add to your DIY body-care recipes, or even cook and clean with them. We love them for skincare and hair rinses.
