  • Pure Natural Peppermint Hydrosol For Skin Whitening Beauty Care Peppermint Water

Pure Natural Peppermint Hydrosol For Skin Whitening Beauty Care Peppermint Water

Organic peppermint hydrosol is best known for its use as a revitalizing and refreshing body spray, this peppermint hydrosol is well rounded and strikingly robust. It can be used liberally on the body as a general cooler or toner and is a wonderful base for DIY aroma sprays for the body and room.

Peppermint has a long and valued history in aromatherapeutic applications, with the dried leaves found inside the tombs of ancient Egypt. Peppermint is energizing, uplifting, and cooling.

Organic peppermint hydrosol can provide a wonderful refreshing sensation when used directly on the skin and may be kept in the refrigerator to amplify this effect. The light peppermint scent is fresh and is a great astringent toner or ingredient for water-based skin care formulations.

An exceptional and uplifting botanical water, organic peppermint hydrosol is much gentler than the invigorating essential oil of peppermint leaves and may be used directly on your skin. Blend with rosemary hydrosol for a mentally stimulating herbal mist, or add essential oils such as basil, juniper, or sage for a unique aroma spray. Mix in a few tablespoons of peppermint hydrosol to a relaxing foot soak at the end of your day!

Our peppermint hydrosol is created in the Pacific Northwest via water-steam distillation of fresh Mentha x piperita. Suitable for cosmetic use.

  • 100% pure and natural no chemical component Centella Asiatica hydrosol

100% pure and natural no chemical component Centella Asiatica hydrosol

Centella asiatica is a creeping, semi-aquatic herbaceous plant from the Apiaceae family that originates in Asia and Oceania. It grows primarily in swampy areas of tropical or subtropical countries. You can find it in several Asian countries such as India and China, as well as in Africa, mainly in Madagascar and South Africa.

Also known as tiger grass, its medicinal properties have been recognized for more than 2,000 years. Asian populations used it in poultices to heal wounds, particularly for skin lesions typical of leprosy.

Using Centella asiatica as a powder or as an oil in skincare is a relatively recent development, from the start of the 1970s. Centella asiatica extract is a rich source of natural bioactive substances: saponins, triterpenoids, flavonoids, phenolic acids, triterpene steroids, amino acids, sugars… Nowadays, you’ll find it in skincare products for dull skin, or which prevent skin aging, like serums and creams. It’s used in healing and repairing products, designed to reduce the appearance of pigmentation marks and/or stretch marks. It’s also found in creams for the eye contour, which reduce the appearance of dark circles and eye bags.

Although essential oils are believed to be water-insoluble, they do have a maximum solubility in water. This means, once a certain amount is dissolved in the hydrosol, the oil will start separating out. This is how essential oils are collected during distillation. However, these separated oils will have different chemical properties than the dissovled ones — since some of the chemicals found in the essential oil are too oil-loving to stay in water while others are too water-loving to stay in the oil and are found only in the hydrosol.

Why Not Just Use Essential Oils?

Essential oils are highly potent extracts and include a narrower range of plant chemicals than a hydrosol. Many of these chemicals are only needed in incredibly small amounts to work effectively. When used regularly, these chemicals can build up in the body and amount to the intake of what ends up being a huge amount of plant materials, which often much more than your body actually needs.

If this much plant material is taken in, especially in people whose immune system is depressed, the body will reject much of it and potentially even shut down due to the immune system being overwhelmed and overstimulated.

Babies are another example of this. They don’t need dozens of pounds of lavender or chamomile to go to sleep or ease teething, so the oils are far too strong for them. Babies react better to lower doses. Even when using a hydrosol, you can dilute a teaspoon in a cup of water, and then dilute a teaspoon of the watered-down solution in another cup of water and still have an incredibly effective application.

Hydrosols offer safer, milder doses of these plants in a much easier to absorb form. Since they are water solutions, they don’t irritate the skin’s lipid barrier like oils can and they are easier to apply and absorb. They’re also much more sustainably made than essential oils, requiring far less plant materials per bottle.

    Using Hydrosols Alongside Herbal-infused Oils

Plants have a variety of beneficial constituents that are soluble in a wide range of mediums, depending largely on their polarity and the pH of the solvent. Some constituents extract well in oil, while others are more water or alcohol-soluble.

Each method of extraction will draw out different concentrations and types of constituents. Therefore, using both an oil extract and a water extract of the same plant will give you a broader spectrum of the plant’s benefits and give you different benefits for your skin and overall health. So, pairing a hydrosol facial toner with our infused oil cleanser or tallow moisturizer gives you a great representation of plant constituents to nourish your skin.

Private Label Rose Tea tree Neroli Lavender Hydrosol For Makeup Setting Spray

While the color pink sparks joy and bright energy, Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil does well to invoke the same experience for those who use it! You can’t miss the tangy fragrance that truly resembles the tart aroma of a freshly picked pink grapefruit.  Continue reading to discover all of the wonderful benefits this essential oil has to offer…

THE BEST QUALITY PINK GRAPEFRUIT ESSENTIAL OIL IS COLD PRESSED FROM THE PEEL

Like all citrus essential oils, pink grapefruit essential is most potent and aromatically pleasing when it’s cold pressed from the rinds of fresh, ripe, juicy pink grapefruit. You probably noticed that when you peel a pink grapefruit, or any citrus fruit, a lovely aromatic mist gets released into the air. That aromatic mist is the essential oil of the fruit escaping from the rind’s delicate outer membrane.

With regard to pink grapefruit essential oil, we are looking for an aroma that’s identical to what you would expect from peeling a fresh, ripe, juicy pink grapefruit.

An identical aroma is exactly what we get when fresh, ripe, juicy pink grapefruit rinds are pressed without using any heat, and the oil is collected without any added ingredients or processes. When pink grapefruit is processed correctly, the essential oil’s aroma is identical to the aromatic mist that’s naturally expressed when you peel the fresh fruit. That’s because it’s the same essential oil that naturally lives in the rinds of citrus fruits, and it hasn’t been compromised by heat, adulterated with artificial fragrance, or contaminated with cheap fillers.

However, not all citrus essential oils sold today are created equal. Many of them have been extracted by steam distillation, which is the WRONG process to extract citrus oils. While steam distillation is great for many botanicals, the same does not go for citrus essential oils.

Citrus oils are susceptible to damage from heat, which reduces their healing properties and distorts their lovely aroma. Even worse, some products being sold as “pure citrus oils” contain artificial or natural fragrance that was added back into the oil in an attempt to recreate the fruit’s natural aroma.

Cold pressed essential oils are more expensive to produce, but it’s well worth the cost, because the chemical components of pink grapefruit essential oil are easily altered by heat. Our pink grapefruit essential oil, and ALL our citrus essential oils are cold pressed and extracted from the rinds of fresh, ripe, juicy citrus fruits.

So, as usual, you can rest assured that when you’re shopping with Miracle Botanicals, you’re always getting the most potent, medicinal, and pure essential oils available anywhere.

Hydrosols, are the water product of distillation. They carry the hydrophilic (water-soluble) components of the plant, as well as microscopic droplets of essential oils in suspension. Hydrosols have 1% or less of essential oils in them.

    • Are best used to help add moisture to your skin care routine by spritzing on your face and body prior to moisturizing.
    • Are anti-inflammatory and also cooling, useful with aloe vera gel to cool pitta /inflamed conditions e.g. too much heat in the body causing outward representation on the skin.
    • Are effective wound healing agents.
    • Can be used as effective toners.
    • Are safe for internal use (try a teaspoon in a glass of water for a refreshing drink). If you are sensitive to acidic foods, citrus hydrosol are quite acidic and might not be your best option to enhance your water.
    • Can be supportive to cooling or relaxing of the body/nervous system/mind (think aromatic spritzers). A true hydrosol is NOT water with essential oils in it, most spritzers are. The best spritzers are true hydrosols.

    How to use hydrosols?

    Most common:

#1 mist face and body prior to oil or moisturizer. This helps your oil to seal the moisture into your skin.

Water attracts water, when you just spray your face or even take a bath without moisturizing the water from the shower or spray will pull the water from your skin. However if you mist your face with water or hydrosol, then immediately apply moisturizer or oil the water in your skin will pull the water on the surface inward to deeper layers of your skin providing better moisture in your skin.

    • Need to uplift your mood? Use grapefruit hydrosol.
    • Want to brighten your skin or balance your hormones? Use rose geranium hydrosol.
    • Working on a big project, school, or learning and remembering something? use rosemary hydrosol.
    • Feeling a little congested? Try the red bottlebrush (eucalyptus) hydrosol.
    • Have a little cut or scrape? Use yarrow hydrosol
    • Need an astringent hydrosol to clear oil and/or pores? Try Lemon.

Use as a toner, pour a little on an organic cotton pad or ball. Or blend 2 different hydrosols and add a little aloe vera or witch hazel hydrosol and make a toner. I offer these here.

In your hair! Mist your hair and fluff it with your fingers, hydrosols help to keep your hair clean and fresh. Rosemary is particularly good for your hair, helping it to grow in thicker. Rose Geranium or Grapefruit hydrosols are nice because they are a little astringent and will help to remove oil or dirt from your hair.

Add 1 tsp to a cup of water and enjoy.

Air spritzer – works great in the bathroom

I gargle with hydrosols! My favorite to gargle with is rose geranium.

Eye Pads – soak a cotton pad in hydrosol and lay one on each eye — this is nice when the hydrosol is chilled.

Feeling a little hot flash? Spritz your face with a hydrosol.

    Medicinal:

Eye infections, of any type that I’ve experienced have been nipped in the bud many times by me spraying one of my hydrosols on at the first sign of any symptoms.

Poison Ivy – I have found hydrosol helpful at receiving itch from poison ivy — specifically rose, chamomile, and peppermint, used singly.

Spray on a cut or wound to aid in healing and cleaning. Yarrow is especially good at this, it is a wound healer.

Compresses – after you heat the water and wet your cloth, wring it out, then add a few spritzes of hydrosol.

    1. Disinfectant

The news was flooded with reports of the current outbreaks, and it has been linked to the usage of human-made chemicals to disinfect our homes.

We are all guilty of using too many disinfectant wipes and insisting on using hand sanitizer after every sneeze. Since honeysuckle essential oil is antimicrobial and antibacterial, you can add it to your diffuser to help destroy any pathogens that may be floating around.

Honeysuckle essential oil pairs beautifully with citrus scents like sweet orange and lemon, so it’s an excellent complement to any natural cleaning solution.

    2. Antioxidant

This oil has been connected to minimizing the onset of oxidative stress and decreasing free radical levels in the body due to its high antioxidant content. Simply breathing this oil through a diffuser may help you avoid cancer and various chronic ailments.

It is also why honeysuckle essential oil is so popular for skin care: it can reduce wrinkles and age spots by drawing circulation to the skin’s surface, supporting the creation of new cells and a revitalized appearance.

  • 100% Pure Natural Skin Hair and Aromatherapy Flowers Water Plant Extract Liquid Gardenia Hydrosol

100% Pure Natural Skin Hair and Aromatherapy Flowers Water Plant Extract Liquid Gardenia Hydrosol

    Gardenia Benefits and Uses

Some of the many uses of gardenia plants and essential oil include treating:

    • Fighting free radical damage and formation of tumors, thanks to its antiangiogenic activities (3)
    • Infections, including urinary tract and bladder infections
    • Insulin resistance, glucose intolerance, obesity, and other risk factors tied to diabetes and heart disease
    • Acid reflux, vomiting, gas IBS and other digestive issues
    • Depression and anxiety
    • Fatigue and brain fog
    • Abscesses
    • Muscle spasms
    • Fever
    • Menstrual pains
    • Headaches
    • Low libido
    • Poor milk production in nursing women
    • Slow healing wounds
    • Liver damage, liver disease and jaundice
    • Blood in the urine or bloody stools

What active compounds are responsible for the beneficial effects of gardenia extract?

Studies have found that gardenia contains at least 20 active compounds, including a number of powerful antioxidants. Some of compounds that have been isolated from the edible flowers of wild Gardenia jasminoides J.Ellis include benzyl and phenyl acetates, linalool, terpineol, ursolic acid, rutin, stigmasterol, crociniridoids (including coumaroylshanzhiside, butylgardenoside and methoxygenipin) and phenylpropanoid glucosides (such as gardenoside B and geniposide). (4 ,5)

What are the uses of gardenia? Below are some of the many medicinal benefits that the flowers, extract and essential oil have:

    1. Helps Fight Inflammatory Diseases and Obesity

Gardenia essential oil contains many antioxidants that fight free radical damage, plus two compounds called geniposide and genipin that have been shown to have anti-inflammatory actions. It’s been found that it may also help reduce high cholesterol, insulin resistance/glucose intolerance and liver damage, potentially offering some protection against diabetes, heart disease and liver disease. (6)

Certain studies have also found evidence that gardenia jasminoide may be effective in reducing obesity, especially when combined with exercise and a healthy diet. A 2014 study published in the Journal of Exercise Nutrition and Biochemistry states, “Geniposide, one of the main ingredients of Gardenia jasminoides, is known to be effective in inhibiting body weight gain as well as improving abnormal lipid levels, high insulin levels, impaired glucose intolerance, and insulin resistance.” (7)

    2. May Help Reduce Depression and Anxiety

The smell of gardenia flowers is known to promote relaxation and help people who are feeling wound up de-stress. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, gardenia is included in aromatherapy and herbal formulas that are used to treat mood disorders, including depression, anxiety and restlessness. One study out of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine published in Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine found that the extract (Gardenia jasminoides Ellis) demonstrated rapid antidepressant effects via instant enhancement of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression in the limbic system (the “emotional center” of the brain). The antidepressant response started roughly two hours after administration. (8)

    3. Helps Soothe the Digestive Tract

Ingredients isolated from Gardenia jasminoides, including ursolic acid and genipin, have been shown to have antigastritic activities, antioxidant activities and acid-neutralizing capacities that protect against a number of gastrointestinal issues. For example, research conducted at Duksung Women’s University’s Plant Resources Research Institute in Seoul, Korea, and published in Food and Chemical Toxicology, found that genipin and ursolic acid may be useful in the treatment and/or protection of gastritis, acid reflux, ulcers, lesions and infections caused by H. pylori action. (9)

Genipin has also been shown to help with digestion of fats by enhancing production of certain enzymes. It also seems to support other digestive processes even in a gastrointestinal environment that has an “unstable” pH balance, according to research published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry and conducted at Nanjing Agricultural University’s College of Food Science and Technology and Laboratory of Electron Microscopy in China.
