Top Grade Melissa Lemon Balm Hydrosol 100% Natural and Pure Organic Floral Water

Hydrosols, are the water product of distillation. They carry the hydrophilic (water-soluble) components of the plant, as well as microscopic droplets of essential oils in suspension. Hydrosols have 1% or less of essential oils in them.

    • Are best used to help add moisture to your skin care routine by spritzing on your face and body prior to moisturizing.
    • Are anti-inflammatory and also cooling, useful with aloe vera gel to cool pitta /inflamed conditions e.g. too much heat in the body causing outward representation on the skin.
    • Are effective wound healing agents.
    • Can be used as effective toners.
    • Are safe for internal use (try a teaspoon in a glass of water for a refreshing drink). If you are sensitive to acidic foods, citrus hydrosol are quite acidic and might not be your best option to enhance your water.
    • Can be supportive to cooling or relaxing of the body/nervous system/mind (think aromatic spritzers). A true hydrosol is NOT water with essential oils in it, most spritzers are. The best spritzers are true hydrosols.

    How to use hydrosols?

    Most common:

#1 mist face and body prior to oil or moisturizer. This helps your oil to seal the moisture into your skin.

Water attracts water, when you just spray your face or even take a bath without moisturizing the water from the shower or spray will pull the water from your skin. However if you mist your face with water or hydrosol, then immediately apply moisturizer or oil the water in your skin will pull the water on the surface inward to deeper layers of your skin providing better moisture in your skin.

    • Need to uplift your mood? Use grapefruit hydrosol.
    • Want to brighten your skin or balance your hormones? Use rose geranium hydrosol.
    • Working on a big project, school, or learning and remembering something? use rosemary hydrosol.
    • Feeling a little congested? Try the red bottlebrush (eucalyptus) hydrosol.
    • Have a little cut or scrape? Use yarrow hydrosol
    • Need an astringent hydrosol to clear oil and/or pores? Try Lemon.

Use as a toner, pour a little on an organic cotton pad or ball. Or blend 2 different hydrosols and add a little aloe vera or witch hazel hydrosol and make a toner. I offer these here.

In your hair! Mist your hair and fluff it with your fingers, hydrosols help to keep your hair clean and fresh. Rosemary is particularly good for your hair, helping it to grow in thicker. Rose Geranium or Grapefruit hydrosols are nice because they are a little astringent and will help to remove oil or dirt from your hair.

Add 1 tsp to a cup of water and enjoy.

Air spritzer – works great in the bathroom

I gargle with hydrosols! My favorite to gargle with is rose geranium.

Eye Pads – soak a cotton pad in hydrosol and lay one on each eye — this is nice when the hydrosol is chilled.

Feeling a little hot flash? Spritz your face with a hydrosol.

    Medicinal:

Eye infections, of any type that I’ve experienced have been nipped in the bud many times by me spraying one of my hydrosols on at the first sign of any symptoms.

Poison Ivy – I have found hydrosol helpful at receiving itch from poison ivy — specifically rose, chamomile, and peppermint, used singly.

Spray on a cut or wound to aid in healing and cleaning. Yarrow is especially good at this, it is a wound healer.

Compresses – after you heat the water and wet your cloth, wring it out, then add a few spritzes of hydrosol.

    1. Disinfectant

The news was flooded with reports of the current outbreaks, and it has been linked to the usage of human-made chemicals to disinfect our homes.

We are all guilty of using too many disinfectant wipes and insisting on using hand sanitizer after every sneeze. Since honeysuckle essential oil is antimicrobial and antibacterial, you can add it to your diffuser to help destroy any pathogens that may be floating around.

Honeysuckle essential oil pairs beautifully with citrus scents like sweet orange and lemon, so it’s an excellent complement to any natural cleaning solution.

    2. Antioxidant

This oil has been connected to minimizing the onset of oxidative stress and decreasing free radical levels in the body due to its high antioxidant content. Simply breathing this oil through a diffuser may help you avoid cancer and various chronic ailments.

It is also why honeysuckle essential oil is so popular for skin care: it can reduce wrinkles and age spots by drawing circulation to the skin’s surface, supporting the creation of new cells and a revitalized appearance.

    • Fighting free radical damage and formation of tumors, thanks to its antiangiogenic activities (3)
    • Infections, including urinary tract and bladder infections
    • Insulin resistance, glucose intolerance, obesity, and other risk factors tied to diabetes and heart disease
    • Acid reflux, vomiting, gas IBS and other digestive issues
    • Depression and anxiety
    • Fatigue and brain fog
    • Abscesses
    • Muscle spasms
    • Fever
    • Menstrual pains
    • Headaches
    • Low libido
    • Poor milk production in nursing women
    • Slow healing wounds
    • Liver damage, liver disease and jaundice
    • Blood in the urine or bloody stools

What active compounds are responsible for the beneficial effects of gardenia extract?

Studies have found that gardenia contains at least 20 active compounds, including a number of powerful antioxidants. Some of compounds that have been isolated from the edible flowers of wild Gardenia jasminoides J.Ellis include benzyl and phenyl acetates, linalool, terpineol, ursolic acid, rutin, stigmasterol, crociniridoids (including coumaroylshanzhiside, butylgardenoside and methoxygenipin) and phenylpropanoid glucosides (such as gardenoside B and geniposide). (4 ,5)

What are the uses of gardenia? Below are some of the many medicinal benefits that the flowers, extract and essential oil have:

    1. Helps Fight Inflammatory Diseases and Obesity

Gardenia essential oil contains many antioxidants that fight free radical damage, plus two compounds called geniposide and genipin that have been shown to have anti-inflammatory actions. It’s been found that it may also help reduce high cholesterol, insulin resistance/glucose intolerance and liver damage, potentially offering some protection against diabetes, heart disease and liver disease. (6)

Certain studies have also found evidence that gardenia jasminoide may be effective in reducing obesity, especially when combined with exercise and a healthy diet. A 2014 study published in the Journal of Exercise Nutrition and Biochemistry states, “Geniposide, one of the main ingredients of Gardenia jasminoides, is known to be effective in inhibiting body weight gain as well as improving abnormal lipid levels, high insulin levels, impaired glucose intolerance, and insulin resistance.” (7)

    2. May Help Reduce Depression and Anxiety

The smell of gardenia flowers is known to promote relaxation and help people who are feeling wound up de-stress. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, gardenia is included in aromatherapy and herbal formulas that are used to treat mood disorders, including depression, anxiety and restlessness. One study out of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine published in Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine found that the extract (Gardenia jasminoides Ellis) demonstrated rapid antidepressant effects via instant enhancement of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression in the limbic system (the “emotional center” of the brain). The antidepressant response started roughly two hours after administration. (8)

    3. Helps Soothe the Digestive Tract

Ingredients isolated from Gardenia jasminoides, including ursolic acid and genipin, have been shown to have antigastritic activities, antioxidant activities and acid-neutralizing capacities that protect against a number of gastrointestinal issues. For example, research conducted at Duksung Women’s University’s Plant Resources Research Institute in Seoul, Korea, and published in Food and Chemical Toxicology, found that genipin and ursolic acid may be useful in the treatment and/or protection of gastritis, acid reflux, ulcers, lesions and infections caused by H. pylori action. (9)

Genipin has also been shown to help with digestion of fats by enhancing production of certain enzymes. It also seems to support other digestive processes even in a gastrointestinal environment that has an “unstable” pH balance, according to research published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry and conducted at Nanjing Agricultural University’s College of Food Science and Technology and Laboratory of Electron Microscopy in China.

  • 100% Natural Fresh Neroli Hydrosol/ Neroli Oil For Skin/ Neroli Water Spray Neroli Foam Flower

100% Natural Fresh Neroli Hydrosol/ Neroli Oil For Skin/ Neroli Water Spray Neroli Foam Flower

Neroli is named after Marie Anne de La Trémoille, Princess of Nerola, who popularized the fragrance by using neroli to perfume her gloves and baths. Since then, the essence has been described as “neroli.”

It is said Cleopatra soaked the sails of her ships in neroli to herald her arrival and delight the citizens of Rome; the winds would carry the scent of neroli to the city before her ships arrived at port. Neroli has a long history with royals the world over, perhaps because of its enchanting spiritual uses.

The scent of neroli is described as powerful and refreshing. Uplifting, fruity, and bright citrus notes are rounded out with natural and sweet floral aromas. The fragrance of neroli is highly therapeutic and such benefits include: calming the nervous system, naturally improving the mood, summoning feelings of joy and relaxation, improving sleep quality, stimulating creativity, and other sage attributes such as wisdom and intuition.

Citrus trees, which neroli comes from, radiate a frequency of abundance, providing a stable foundation for manifestation of divine will and greater good. With this higher frequency, neroli helps us connect with the spiritual realms and receive divine inspiration.

Often used to ease feelings of loneliness, neroli not only helps us feel connected to the divine, but will help bridge the state of disconnection to ourselves and others. This beguiling scent enhances intimacy and not only with romantic partners! Neroli fosters openness to meeting new people on a deeper level, especially for those who struggle with small talk or being too introverted. Neroli is a powerful ally when making new friends, going on a date, or networking to find creative partners, allowing you to move past formal procedures, to be vulnerable and convey what is actually meaningful.

Not only will using it as a perfume bring an enchanting scent to the wearer, but it will uplift their mood and those they come into contact with throughout the day. Insect Repellent

With a strong reputation for repelling biting insects, Citronella essential oil contains volatile oils that irritate mosquitoes in particular. Whilst there is much controversy about the effectiveness of Citronella and its protection from bites, there is certainly research to back it up. In 2011, an analysis of 11 studies on the capabilities of Citronella oil to repel mosquitoes was published in the “Journal of Tropical Medicine & International Health”. Researchers found that when combined with vanillin, the oil did indeed provide protection for up to three hours. Additionally, research was published in “The Israel Medical Association Journal” which showed how Citronella can be effective in helping to prevent head lice too.

If you are using this oil as an insect repellent, it is vital that it is diluted at around a 2% dilution to avoid skin irritation. If Citronella is being used alone to repel insects, research indicates that it needs to be reapplied every 30 minutes to 1 hour to remain bite free. Some researchers recommend mixing Citronella with other bug battling essential oils such as lemon eucalyptus, neem and lemongrass.

Due to its anti-fungal and antiseptic qualities, Citronella can be used to help to heal bites too.

    Antibacterial/Antiseptic

Citronella oil is rich in the compound methyl isoeugenol which imparts powerful antibacterial and antiseptic qualities to this essential oil. In the correct dilution it can be used to disinfect and speed up wound healing and as long as the oil is “food grade”, it can be taken internally to provide relief from infections of the bladder, urinary tract, colon, gastro-intestinal tract and the kidneys.  It can also be used in this way to expel parasites and worms from the intestines due to its high content of geraniol – a phytochemical with strong anti-helminthic activity, able to expel internal parasites without causing any damage to the host.

With an invigorating, fresh lemony scent, Citronella is also an excellent addition to natural house cleaning products. It will disinfect kitchen surfaces, bathrooms, floors, and all whilst leaving a lovely chemical free aroma in the room – this makes it a perfect air freshener too, whilst keeping the home free of airborne pathogens.

    Anxiety/Stress

Citronella has a naturally uplifting and happy smell, with research showing that it can be both uplifting and relaxing. It appears to work on both the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, providing natural stress relief.

The essential oil can also be used (well diluted), for dogs – not only to keep fleas and ticks at bay, it can help to reduce separation anxiety and const

Factory Wholesale Chamomile Hydrolats Steam Distill Natural Germany Chamomile Hydrosol

A hydrosol is not water and essential oils mixed together, but is produced from a process of steam distillation or hydro-distillation.

A hydrosol is a special water that is captured when distilling plant material.

Distilling plant material is a way that we obtain a plant’s potent essential oil and when we do a steam or water distillation we also get this very special gentle water called a hydrosol (aka Aromatic Water).  Where the essential oil contains its lipophilic (oil-loving) components, a hydrosol contains the water-soluble molecules from the plant which are also therapeutic and healing yet have a very safe gentle nature and can be used directly on the skin.

Hydrosols have so many uses depending on the plant they’ve originated from.  They still contain the plant’s therapeutic properties but in a milder, gentle form and they’re ideal if you would love a safer alternative to using essential oils.

Unlike essential oils, hydrosols can be used undiluted without problems for most skin applications.  They are one of the gentlest and safest ways to use aromatics in caring for your facial skin.

  • 100% Pure and Natural Lavender Hydrosol for cosmetic

100% Pure and Natural Lavender Hydrosol for cosmetic

What surfaces can I use Lavender Hydrosol on?

Lavender Hydrosol is effective on glass, mirror, wood, tile, granite, marble, stained concrete, formica, stainless steel, chrome, carpets, rugs, upholstery, leather…etc. It should not however be left standing in pools on any waxed or oiled surface for an undue amount of time so as to not leave a water mark.

What is the difference between Lavender Hydrosol and Lavender Linen Water?

We do not add anything to our lavender hydrosol once it is produced. While it has a pleasant, earthy fragrance of it’s own that many find sufficiently “lavendery”, it may not smell strongly of what some may have come to expect from lavender. For use as a means to fragrance textiles – linens, pillows, clothing, throw pillows, upholstery, car interiors, etc – such persons may prefer our Lavender Linen Water which contains additional lavender essential oil, making it better suited for applications where a very present lavender aroma is paramount.

What is the difference between Lavender Hydrosol and Lavender Room Mist?

We do not add anything to our lavender hydrosol once it is produced. While it has a pleasant, earthy fragrance of it’s own that many find sufficiently “lavendery”, it may not smell strongly of what some may have come to expect from lavender. For use as a means to fragrance the air of an enclosed space – kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, boat, RV, plane, etc – some may prefer our Lavender Room Mist which contains both additional lavender essential oil and sweet orange oil. Lavender Room Mist smells more strongly of lavender and is also specially formulated to remain in the air as long as possible, making it better suited for such applications.

What is the difference between Lavender Hydrosol and Lavender Facial Toner and Cleanser?

The main ingredient in our Organic Lavender Facial Toner and Cleanser is Premium Organic Lavender Hydrosol which is produced exclusively during the initial fifteen minutes of steam distillation of essential oil – when the oil content of the hydrosol is at its highest. This high oil content and the additional Organic Lavender Essential Oil we add to each bottle during the production stage intensifies the efficacy of the antiseptic and solvent properties of lavender! Our Premium Organic Lavender Hydrosol is reserved solvely for the production of our Organic Lavender Facial Toner and Cleanser for use in facial care applications where the natural properties of lavender are particularly effective.

How can I use Lavender Hydrosol as an insect repellant around the house (or boat)?

Lavender’s powerful insect repellant properties (we have no insect problem on our fields whatsoever) allow for completely non-toxic pleasantly fragranced suppression of insect infestations in a variety of situations – in cupboards, closets and other enclosed areas (does not stain clothing), in pantries, and impressively on house plants to prevent all-too-common insect infestations.

How can I use Lavender Hydrosol on the body?

    • For rinsing, cleaning, and promoting rapid healing of skin abrasions and cuts
    • For soothing on itching skin associated with sun or wind burn, eczema, dryness and aging
    • As a preferred cleanser for infants and adult personal hygiene (particularly useful in healing and preventing diaper rashes)

Is Lavender Hydrosol safe to spray on the skin and safe to ingest?

Yes! Lavender hydrosol is safe for use on the skin and even safe to ingest for both humans and pets. We often hear of people using it as a general mouthwash to take advantage of lavender’s disinfectant properties. We have also found it to be an effective treatment for canker sores in the mouth.

How can I use Lavender Hydrosol with my pet?

    • As a chemical-free cleaning alternative use lavender hydrosol to clean floors, dog bowl, kennel – anything your dog comes into contact with
    • Adding to a water bowl each day to keep the water clear and aid against bad breath
    • Treating “hot spots” and other inflammatory skin conditions (utilizing both the antiseptic and anesthetic properties of lavender)
    • Spraying on your pet’s coat as a flea repellant and for added freshness and shine

  • Organic Rose Flower Water | Damask Rose Floral Water | Rosa damascena Hydrosol – 100% Pure and Natural

Organic Rose Flower Water | Damask Rose Floral Water | Rosa damascena Hydrosol – 100% Pure and Natural

As early as 5000 BC, rose hydrosol was prepared by decoction of its petals.

In the Middle Ages, it was used as a finger bowl during the big receptions as attested by some historical writings of the 9th century.

Damask Rose hydrosol was then recommended to relieve biliary insufficiency and then as a remedy for heartache.

Thus, throughout history, it has earned a reputation as the Queen of flowers, a symbol of unconditional love, virginal purity, beauty and delicacy. It is the flower that nourishes the feminine energy par excellence, opening to receptivity and contemplation.

La Rose de Damas, de la Bulgarie au Maroc

The Damask rose, rosa damascena, is a hybrid flower created from rosa gallica and rosa moschata. Formerly cultivated in Bulgaria and then in Turkey, it is now found in Morocco in the famous Valley of Roses in the middle of the Atlas Mountains. Its intense perfume embalms all the valley in particular just before the sunrise, most favourable moment for its picking. Then the petals go to the distillery to recover the essential oil and the hydrolat.
